"It's the time of your life..."

OK, the theme song for Disneyland is stuck in my head. Seriously, every day! But honestly it was the time of our life. Scott has been working so much these last few months. It was so incredibly nice to spend the entire day as a family fun day. I still can't get over how much stuff we did. I guess the last time we went with Scott's family, there were a lot more of us so it is harder to get around as fast. I will eventually attach a slide show to this post because I took so many great pictures. Right now I am still on Scott's work computer and I can't download the site to his computer so more pictures will come later.
We started the day off in California Adventure. We saw Muppets in 3D. It was great. All four of us were in amazement at Kermit in our face :) I haven't been to anything 3D since I was a kid. I was really sick in the morning with a horrible migraine. I was so nauseated that Scott thought we should go back home because I was ghost white and shaking so bad. All I was thinking about was the traffic not moving in the other direction and I wanted out of the car. So you won't see me on any of the rides with the kids in the morning. Half way through the day I felt better and I am glad we decided to tough it out. The boys rode the lady bugs (you can barely see the top of Harrison's head), the bug bumper cars and the bug train.

After that we walked around the movie sets and toured a bakery and Mission Tortillas (nothing like free samples, right?). We made our way to the pier and rode the Mickey Mouse Farris wheel. We also witnessed someone being taken away on a stretcher. I think they passed out in line. That didn't stop us.
Next we headed over to Disneyland Resort. We rode a ferry.

We ate lunch in New Orleans. It is amazing. You actually feel like you are walking the streets of New Orleans. Things started going a little sour during lunch from the lack of naps. Luckily, Harrison fell asleep at lunch.

And after lunch, William fell asleep. So we just walked around until Harrison woke up. Harrison met Goofy again and we toured Donald Duck's house in Toon Town.

William started waking up so we got in line for "It's a small world." It's an amazing boat ride through the different countries. And of-course there are a lot of Disney movie characters throughout the ride. In line, William fell back asleep. And this is coming from a kid who doesn't like to take naps. He said, "mommy, rock-a-bye William pease."
And then the best part of the day came. We headed back over to California Adventure for the Pixar Parade. And what do you know, who led the parade but the man himself...
LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!
That obviously caught William's attention. The parade was amazing. I took tons of pictures but will only post a few.

And of-course there was something that caught Harrison's eye. We saw him once at the pier and then again at the parade. Harrison LOVES Mr. Potato Head.
And it ended with the best...
I told you before how William tells me to say things for him. Well he had on his Cars shirt with Mater and Lightning McQueen. When he saw Mater, he got so excited that he jumped up and pointed saying, "Mommy, Mater! Mater! Look it's Mater! Tell him he's on my shirt. Look, tell him he's on my shirt!" So of-course I had to tell Mater he was on William's shirt. After the Pixar parade, we headed back over to Disneyland Resort to see the Disney Parade. It was just as good with great songs and dancing. Winnie the Poo and Donald Duck gave the boys high fives. And the dancers danced for the boys. Mickey never made his way to us but we could still see him.

We should have left after that parade and end things on a good note. It was so fantastic. But we thought that the lines would be short for the rides and we were right. Somebody at Scott's work told us that we have to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. For some reason we weren't thinking very smartly. All we were thinking was that someone recommended it. Well as soon as we sat down and made the first turn Scott and I turned towards each other with a look that explained it all. Are we the worst parents in the world right now or what? Why weren't we thinking? Pirates, dead people, zombie looking men drinking blood, etc. And it was so real. Everything was so intricate that it looked real. Harrison's eyes bugged out and I held my hands over them. William was the worst. He pulled his hat down over his eyes and put his head into Scott's shoulder for the whole ride. Aren't we trying to get this kid out of our bed? Do we want both of them to start sleeping with us after that nightmare of a ride? Oh no. Poor poor judgement. We felt so bad. Who starts the day off with Muppets in 3D and ends it on the Pirates ride? Ugh. So afterwards William wanted to ride the train so of-course we obliged. Well things started going south. Harrison had a massive blowout that we had to throw his clothes out. It wouldn't be an Archer event without a blow out, right? It was getting late and we knew we should head home but since it was almost dark we stayed for the light show on the water. It was pretty cool until Harrison had another blow out and we had to throw those clothes away too. Now he was in William's extra change of clothes. We ended the night walking out of the park with watching the fireworks. Harrison was already asleep and William was close but he did get excited over the fireworks. We left the park and got home right at mid-night. We definitely took advantage of the day!

It was fantastic!!!!
