Knott's Berry Farm

We took the boys to Knott's Berry Farm again on Saturday. It's nice having season passes and that it is only an hour away. We are always greeted by chickens in the parking lot. Will always runs to the ostrich on the carousel.
Harry always runs to ride "the seat."
We took the chance and rode the Ferris wheel this time. It actually goes around really fast. I was a little scared. I especially do not like stopping at the top. But the boys did fine on it.

Now for Lucy's boat, not the same story. Harrison was not a fan at all. Can you tell by the picture?

The race cars are always a fan favorite.
And since it is October, they boys got to go "trick or treating" and through a corn maze.
The weekends go by so quickly. Yesterday was just catching up around the house and working at church. That's about it. Hope everyone else had a relaxing weekend.

Date nights

Well it's a little hard with me working nights and Scott working days. We really only see each other on the weekends now. Last Saturday, we had a date night in. We made fondue and played games outside. It was nice just to have that quality time together after the boys went to bed. This past Saturday we went out to Hollywood with some friends. One of the girls that works for me at BAC, Kisha Simone, is an aspiring singer and actress. She actually has been in a few films and has record labels looking at her. It was nice to get out and see her perform. We are definitely getting old though because I don't remember the last time we were out that late. We didn't get home until 2am. And I even made the comment, "I wish it weren't so loud in here." Ha! After the show, we went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. I have a wish list of things I want to do while we live in California and I can check that one off.
It's actually quite comical. There is a bouncer outside Roscoe's and a rope and everything.

Incentives

We tend to struggle time to time with the boys sleeping in our bed. I so wish we had a California King bed and not a Queen. I think we have tried just about every incentive or trick to get them to stay in their own bed at night. I even think they wake each other up to come in together :) We even thought about putting a queen size bed in their room so we have somewhere to go when they come in. My back is killing me. So last night I made chocolate chip cookies. We told the boys that if they stayed in their bed all night that they could have cookies after breakfast. William even came in at 4am and told me he was ready to get up and wanted to eat cookies. Luckily he went back to bed. So this morning after breakfast, they boys received their treat....cookies! And because this picture reminds me, Harry is so funny when he prays. Every night we say a prayer. We all bow our heads and hold hands. Harry, on the other hand, does exactly what he is doing in the above picture but with his eyes closed. We try to pray without laughing but just to see a little two year old look like he is praising Jesus is pretty comical.

Should I be impressed or nervous?

Last Thursday when I picked William up from preschool he said, “woo mom, is that a new shirt?  I like it.  It looks good on you.”

It's Raining

It rains about twice a year here. I love the rain. Since the boys don't see if very often, I got out the Flip video. William shocked me with our conversation. Short but sweet.
