Happy Birthday Miss Belle!

My baby is 5 years old today-already! Time has flown by. I remember the day we brought her home. So little and so adorable. She is such a good little girl. People have told us that Labs are in the puppy stage until age 2. When she turned 2, someone told us that some labs are puppies until 3. Well she is 5 today and still is a puppy. She gets so excited. She is a great dog and we love her so much.

We took her on an hour and a half hike this morning. She was wore out but had a great time. She especially loved chasing lizards.

After dinner, she opened presents and had some puppy ice cream. Tonight she played at the park. I think she had a pretty good birthday. We love you Miss Belle. Happy Birthday!

Ahh funnel cake

48 of them to be exact. Kelly and Stephanie brought me an early birthday present. They know how much I love funnel cake. In the past, they have gone on a few hunts with me to find some. It is kind of funny because we actually had funnel cake last night at the farmers market (before opening my presents). They went on a hunt in Missouri to find a funnel cake kit for my bday. They did good :) Thanks girls. I guess you all know what we will be having for dessert tonight.

The L.A. Zoo

I picked the girls (Kelly and Stephanie) up from the airport this morning. Thank goodness for the boys that I could take the carpool lane because traffic was horrible. After we picked them up, we went to the Los Angeles Zoo. We hadn't been there before and I thought this was as good of a time than any since their flight came in early. Well it was extremely hot and the zoo was swarmed with bees. I honestly don't know how we made it out of there without one of us getting stung. It was ridiculous. It stressed me out so much that I couldn't enjoy myself because there were bees all over us. A lot of the animals were hiding because it was so hot but we did get to see a few.

Oh I almost forgot. We saw a monkey fight. Two monkeys were going at it punching each other, hitting with sticks and rolling on the ground. They definitely weren't playing. I didn't take a picture of them rather the relaxed guys on the rock.
And this tiger was cute playing with what looked like a keg in his water.

The obsession continues

So we know we have a problem. I have mentioned several times how William loves the movie CARS. Well *Love* is an understatement. The other night he was in his bed and I think we feed the obsession a little too much. He was in his bed watching the movie Cars in his Cars sheets, pillow and blanket. With Lightning McQueen Car in his hand (FYI the car is ALWAYS in his hand). With a Cars sippy cup in his Cars PJs.
So to make matters worse, I bought this Cars tent on sale yesterday. Harry loves it more than Will. Can you fit anymore people in the two person tent?

Is it possible?

I think they actually wore each other out! I give it 5 minutes...tops!

Family fun day

Yesterday was a blast. We went to the beach with our friends, The Boes. Scott worked with Greg in the Missouri State Office of Farmers when we lived there. Now we live close to each other in California so it is nice to spend some time with familiar faces. We found a nice quiet place on the beach. Leanza and Remi body boarded
while Harrison and William played in the sand.
Scott played ball with Harry.
The adults enjoyed some "adult beverages." :)And Harrison enjoyed lounging in the sand.

After we got home, Scott and I went out for a date night. We ate dinner at the Olive Garden. Oh so yummy. I haven't been to the Olive Garden in about a year. Then we went to the movies. We saw The Hangover. We laughed so hard. The movie is hilarious. It is definitely a must see and we will be buying it when it comes out on DVD. Absolutely hilarious.
