Christmas 2010

The season has come and gone so fast. Here are some of our memories this year.

Making a ginger bread house and man. William singing at his preschool play. Oh wait, that is not singing. He is yawning of pure boredom. ha.
X-mas Eve:
Our traditional Christmas Eve dinner: Salmon.
We got ready for church. Look at my handsome men!

Came home to open one Christmas present. We always exchange Christmas pajamas to wear Christmas Eve night.
We made cookies for Santa. And wrote him a letter. And then we were off to bed. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. And when we awoke:
Santa left the boys a letter.
We had our traditional Christmas morning breakfast: muffins and eggbake.

Santa left what we asked for:
William's mini excavator.
Harry's blue laptop.
The Twilight books for me (to read again). Toys for Belle. A weed eater for Scott.
Belle got into it :)

The aftermath!!!!
It was great!

Missing Missouri

In case you were wondering what an excavator was.... William was just thrilled that you can see his favorite type of tractor on the side of the road all throughout Missouri. In fact, he got to see a lot of tractors, fields of hay,
Cattle,
And horses.
On our last day in Missouri, we had to make a stop at Lambert's, Home of Throwed Rolls.
And they in fact, throw the rolls.
If you are hungry and have never visited Lamberts, this is a must stop in Ozark or Sikeston, Missouri. Afterwards, we stopped at Bass Pro Shops. They have it nicely decorated for Christmas.
The boys got to play with a lot of trains and race cars. And you can see how Harrison feels about being on the back of the quad with William as the driver :)

This has got to be my favorite sequence of pictures (the next three). I can only imagine what he is thinking.
"Ah a race car. " "Nobody will notice if I just slip under the rope."
"That is what a real race car tire feels like."
I guess Harrison was eager to get home because he was insistent on helping with the luggage at the airport.
And William was very relaxed for the flight home.
I think this is my last Missouri post. I hope you enjoyed all the posts. We definitely enjoyed the trip. Missouri will always be "home" to us.

Nana and Pawpa's house

After leaving Saint Joseph, we made our way down to West Plains, MO to visit my side of the family. One day we took a field trip to Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. This picture doesn't seem real. It looks more like a postcard.
Here is the main head of the spring.
Nana and Pawpa with the boys.
So picturesque.

Scott and Harry.
The family.
I had to take this picture. Do you see the tower? That is the Brandsville tower. When I was in high school, that was a fun thing to try to get away with. We would park across the highway, walk through the woods in the middle of the night and climb the tower. Yeah, that was the most rebellious thing I did :) ha.

Uncle Keith was a big hit with the boys.
I wonder why???
Friday morning, Lauren, aka"Kiki", and Brian came over.

Nothing like getting spoiled with new toys and
cookies for breakfast.
Joe also came over bringing more gifts for the boys. William and Harrison made out with getting spoiled. We had to borrow a suitcase just for the new toys they received!
Gunckle is always fun because he acts the same age as them. The boys asked him to come home with them.
My sister's dog had puppies 6 weeks ago and they were a big hit. Harry and Will would not put them down.
Cousins! Justin, Harrison, William, Austin and Tyler.
Nana and Pawpa with their 5 grandsons.
It was so nice to be home. We miss Missouri a bit I would say :)
