Well a lot has happened since I last blogged. Scott and I ran a half marathon in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was Scott’s first half marathon and my second. But first half since my heart condition so it was what kept me going the last two miles. I just kept thinking, “God carry me. He taught me how to manage my health and not my condition manage me.” It really motivated me to keep going when I wanted to rest. Scott and I got lots of runs in ahead of time and it was a nice training regiment to have our running “dates” together. Even though we didn’t run together during the race, it was funny at the end to see our times were less than 4 minutes apart. I can’t say enough how proud I am of us, especially Scott this being his first.
In big news, I am employed again! I know! Didn’t I just say this not too long ago? If I didn’t mention earlier, I was laid off in January due to the O.C.C. settling with the consortium on Internal Foreclosure Lookback. Thousands of people lost their jobs and I was one of them :( Good news is that I went back to work April 15th at Bank of America…..again! 3rd time is a charm right?! Well this time is permanent, thank God!. I am an Underwriter in the Retail Fulfillment Channel. I am very excited to be employed again although it has been an adjustment with the boys again.
Big news is that we are headed to Florida this week for Stephanie’s wedding!!!!! We are so excited for her and Jason and can’t wait to see everyone and celebrate. So hopefully more blog posts to come shortly.
